Hampton Trace Lane

This traditional brick colonial style home sits near a creek in the Old Woodlands neighborhood of Columbia, SC. A product of its generation, the interior had great bones, beautiful moldings and hardwoods but had a very choppy layout, completely unconducive to our client’s family and entertaining needs. After removing multiple walls, deleting the formal dining room, expanding the kitchen, and adding a pantry, laundry room, and wet bar without expanding the footprint, the space now has a much more accessible flow and is much better suited to the family’s lifestyle. The client hired Aston after seeing her work in friends’ homes and knowing immediately that they were birds of a feather. Their taste for bright color and funky flair perfectly aligned, allowing Aston to dream big and give the home all the drama and interest the client had been craving.
