AMI came on the scene just as the walls were coming down to open up this client’s living spaces. AMI helped with the laundry redesign, a refresh of the bar area, what became the new den for extra seating, and also the huge back porch that was added to the home. This client asked for plenty of blue, so Aston brought that in through antique style tile in the laundry, paint, wallpaper and upholstery in the den and even added a few splashes of blue onto the porch as well. The porch had cupboard alcoves flanking the fireplace with a huge blank wall above each. And it was difficult to find “art” that would be element-friendly (since the porch is not screened) as well as fit the casual, colorful setting. We went with these super heavy, solid wood pieces to brighten the space and, true to AMI, end with a dollop of color!
